dBx Acoustics worked with Reds 10 and HPA Architecture on planning and acoustic design for the City of London Academy at Audrey Street, Shoreditch.
Located on a very constrained site in an urban area, key acoustic concerns included protecting neighbouring residential properties from noise from building services plant and school activity. As this is a modular construction, compliance with Building Bulletin 93 (BB93)
both in terms of sound insulation and room acoustics required careful consideration in the design and manufacture of the construction units.
Warwick McCullough from HPA Architecture commented,“HPA Architecture were delighted to have dBx on this scheme and as usual they performed in a excellent way thru design development to technical delivery. Thanks!”
The project completed in 2017.
